1st gym training
I'm really tired now, and my arms ache like mad. I went for my first gym training for swimming today.
Actually, I used to think that my fitness level was not bad, but I just changed my mind.
I got to know Li Ling, who's also in swimming and she showed me what are the exercises to do.
Then we ment our senior, April, who asked us to do the assisted pull ups. She had no problem doing it but when she asked us to do the same difficulty as she did, I realised that I wasn't that strong after all. Haha. I guess she works out a lot.
My first impression of her was that she's a serious and strict senior. Honestly, I was a little scared of her. But Li Ling said that she's not that fierce actually. Hope that I can get to know her better.
But I promise that I'll be able to do the pull ups one day too. I'll train hard, so I can do it. I promise!!
Today we also had horti tea party for the 2nd intakers. About 13 people signed up, but only 3 came. Haiz.. But it was really fun!
We had drinks and chips. It was like having a party. Duh! It's called a tea party!
Teng Wen, Mun Bbun and Kaijun made so many lame jokes! But I found it funny and laughed till I cried. Now when I look back, it's kinda embarassing!
Anyway, right now, I just hope that I can train more and do well in swimming. I don't want to have difficulty doing those pull-ups anymore. And hopefully, if I train very hard, I can do the guy's pull up one day. Haha. Fat hope!

Making a difference
I know many people have read this story before, but I wish to share it with those who havent, and hopefully, it will make a difference to your life.
A man was jogging down the beach after a major storm had just come through the area.
He was dismayed by the huge number of starfish that the storm had washed up on the beach.
He thought that there was nothing he could do because of the immense numbers.
As he continued down the beach he saw an old man throw something into the water.
As he got closer, he saw the old man walk a little farther down the beach, bend over, pick up a starfish and throw it back into the water.
As the jogger approached, the old man stopped again, bent over, picked up another starfish and was about to throw it into the water.
The jogger stopped and asked "Why are you doing that? There are thousands of starfish on the beach. You can't possibly make a difference."
The old man looked at the starfish, threw it back into the water, then replied, "I made a difference to that one, didn't I?"
I believe that every single thing we do has an effect on someone else, however small that impact may be. So, even if it's a small deed, just do it, because you never know what difference you can make in someone else's life!!

Orientation day 2
It's the 2nd day of O2. Today was more interesting because it was outside school.
We had a "world tour" around the Marine Parade area. Why is it called "world tour" when it's not even out of Marine Parade? Hmm.. Haha.
We took bus to some stations to play games. It was mostly quite fun.
Later, we went back to Vj for lunch and visited those stations in school.
There was one station that deserved special mention. There, we had to pass polo sweeets using toothpicks! The toothpicks were really short and it was kinda weird staring into another person's face so closely, and trying hard not to laugh.
Haha. It was super fun! The person who thought of it must be a genius.
At the beach, we played some other games and had mass dance after that.
Back in school, a lot of people went to bathe. Me too. It felt so good washing all the sand off.
My class won Best Attendance. Almost 20 people in my class turned up, compared to about 10 or less in other classes. Of course we had to win that.
Overall, I think today's orientation was better than yesterday's. But I still liked the first orientation more!
However, we still hav to applaud the ogls for making O2 possible. i know they tried very hard to make O2 fun. Three cheers for ogls. Hip hip hurray!

Orientation 2
We had orientation for the 2nd intake today.
I had to help out at the horti booth for the cca walkabout. It was really tiring since there were only 3 of us, and we had to move so many plants from the garden to our booth. My arms ache like mad after carrying all those terribly heavy plants. I think it's gonna get worse tomorrow morning.
At the walkabout, we managed to get more than 10 pple to sign up. That's a little pathetic compared to the other ccas. But for horti, that's quite a reasonable number.
For O2, the theme was VTV. Pegasus was renamed Country. It's such a weird name because others had such cool names like hip-hop, rock, r & b, pop and disco.
But Country really rocks man! We're so pro at cheering. Haha. We rock! And the OGLs
(orientation group leaders) were wonderful too.
But after a while, it got kinda boring and a lot of us were already too exhausted to cheer. We went to the canteen but we couldn't buy any food since all our valuables were kept by the councillors.
When we asked for our wallets, they refused to give it back to us. I guess they were afraid that we would leave school. But i was really very hungry. I only had watermelon juice and honeydew for lunch you know!
At 4pm, we were finally dismissed. Finally!! I was so sweaty and tired, but the first thing i did was to buy food. I was really very, very hungry.
When I reached home, I was so tired so I decided to sleep for a while. In the end i slept until 9!! That's why I can still be blogging now at 11 plus. Haha. I'm not sleepy at all now. I think I won't be able to sleep until about 2am.
Tomorrow we'll be having amazing race outside school. Just hope that it'll be fun! And I'll be sure to keep my valuables with me, in case i get hungry again.

Hello...
Hi everyone! Today is 22nd March, time 17:13, and this is my first blog entry.
I've always wanted to keep a diary but in the end they only lasted a while. Maybe because my handwriting was too untidy so i got kinda frustrated. Haha. Just hope that this time i can keep it going.
Anyway, I don't have to go to school today because it's the release of the JC posting results. I woke up at 11am, but forgot about the results until my mum reminded me. I guess she's more anxious about my results than anyone else.
I was expecting the website to lag, but amazingly, the system was so fast. Haha. Miracle!! And...
I got into Vj. YAY!!
But then I found out that some of my friends counldn't stay or get into the jcs that they wanted, so it was kinda disappointing.
I really can't imagine what would i do if i hadn't gotten into Vj. I would have to leave all my friends and still need time to adapt to the new jc. Just hope that everyone will be happy where ever they go.
And today is my dad's birthday, so my mum and I went to buy lots of food for steamboat tonight. Haha. I'm looking forward to the feast!
We wanted to buy a cake for him but he said that he didn't like cakes, so we didn't buy. Actually, i think birthday cakes are a MUST for every birthday. What's a birthday like without a cake? But since it's his birthday, then we'll leave it up to him to decide.
I have to help my mum out with the preparations now, so this marks the end of my first blog entry. Hopefully there'll be lots more to come. Hopefully.. Haha.
