Flying hurts
The swimming training today was at Bedok pool where we mainly did plunging and time trial.
After practicing my plunging so much on mon, I finally got the hang of it. At least I can plunge without making a big splash and spare my front a big slap from the crash with the water.
It's not perfect though. Still have have lots more room for improvement.
Anyway, I totally agree with what Kai Lun said on mon when we were practicing:
"Your plunge doesn't have to be perfect. Just make sure you don't make sure a big splash if not everyone will look at you, and you'll become famous."
Haha. Totally agree. If I do that, I'll never be able to show my face on this earth again. Too embarassing. I'll probably pack all my stuff and live on an isolated island far, far away.
Back to what happened. During the warm up, my plunging was good. Ok, at least it was the best I could've done.
BUT, for the time trial, I don't know why but I just couldn't jump on the "GO" command.
Everytime I stand on the platform, I will stretch myself a little, look in front, aim a little, then jump when I feel like it.
This time, we had to bend down when at the command "take your mark". Then, jump at "go".
But I just can't do it. If I jump at the command, it'll be a bad plunge. Then I'll make a big splash and fall flat. So sad.
Actually I think plunging is kinda fun. I feel really good if I did it right. But if I didn't, it'll just be super embarassing. Then I'll just pretend that nothing happened. Haha.
Plunging feels like flying. But more like falling than flying.
Moral of the story? Flying hurts.
