Birthday Special 3: Favourite present
My favourite birthday present was the one I received in Seconday 1, from Bernice.
It was a piano book.
It had piano scores of some popular English songs.
It wasn't the book that was special, it was her thoughtfulness that really touched me.
A few weeks before that birthday, I told her that I wanted to buy such a book. At that time, I didn't meant it as a hint or anything like that. It was just a casual comment.
Then on my birthday, she gave me a present all wrapped up.
I didn't know what it was but I could tell it was a book because of it's shape.
I tried hard to guess but couldn't get it right.
Bernice said I could only open it home so I could only try to guess what was inside.
I guessed all sorts of books like notebooks, cookbooks...
I never, never thought it would be a piano book because I had already forgotten about it.
In the end, Bernice said I could open it and I realised it was a piano book.
I was really touched because she actually remembered what I said although it was only a casual comment.
I didn't cry or anything, but I felt touched.
This is one of my favourite birthday presents, because it was such a thoughtful gesture!
