This post is dedicated to one of my best girlfriends, Hanjie.

I know Hanjie can also be a guy's name, some people told me before.

But this great friend I'm talking about is 100% female.

Wanna know why I think she's such a wonderful friend?

Because she's...

thoughtful,

helpful,

understanding,

always there to lend a listening ear,

and a helping hand,

and lots more...

I don't know how to put all her good qualities into words.

I met Hanjie in Secondary 1 in choir.

Then, we were in the same class in Secondary 3 and 4.

It's great to have her for company.

In choir, we used to complain about all the long practices and other stuff... Can't say too much about this because I know Lu Jia is reading and she was the choir president.

But we didn't have much to complain about la... Seriously! Only about the long practices and sectionals. Haha.

Hanjie is really good in her studies too so it was great to be in the same class as her.

She was so willing to share her notes and remind us about the important things to take note of for exams.

I know most people won't be willing to share these things since they studied so much harder than others. Why should others who didn't study benefit while they had to study like mad? I know I think that way sometimes. I guess we all do.

But Hanjie is an exception. She was never selfish with these stuff and so willing to help others.

In addition, she's really thoughtful too.

For example, we didn't get to meet during my birthday this year, so she was quite apologetic that she couldn't give me my present.

In the end, she sent me a sms wishing me happy birthday at 12.13am on my birthday. And sent me an email the day before. And sent me a card by post. And sent me another e-card today.

See, now you know why I say she's such a great friend.

Like I said in one of my previous posts, it's the thought that counts. I don't want to receive expensive presents, only sincere ones.

Her thoughtfulness has already been such a great present!

Also, whenever I feel down, she's the one I message because she'll always lend me a listening ear and encourage me whenever I need it.

She never seems to be unwilling to help.

That's why Hanjie is such a WONDERFUL friend to have.

Hanjie, if you're reading this, I LOVE YOU GIRLFRIEND! FRIENDS FOREVER!

(In case you're wondering, I'm 100% straight. I love her only as a best friend.)
