Team dinner

We had dinner after training at Chinese Swimming Club (csc) today.

All of us sat at a long table. The guys one side, and the girls at the other end.

I had grilled salmon. It was almost one of the most expensive among all the stuff we ordered because a lot of them ordered stuff like spaghetti, rice and stuff. Mine costs $10.30. Not very expensive actually, considering the fact that we ate at a restaurant. All the food was actually quite cheap. I think it's because it's for club members only that's why it's not that expensive.

The salmon was wonderful! There was a piece of salmon, with mashed potato and vegetables around it, and with lemon sauce poured over. Delicious! Yum yum!

I had lots of fun today. The girls were kinda in a group, talking about which guy in swimming is the cutest. Haha... A bit bimbotic but very fun! Haha... Of course, it was no guys allowed.

I think the guys know that we're talking about them because we were like giggling and talking in their direction sometimes. Yeah, I know. Bimbotic behaviour. Kevin messaged me during dinner to ask what were we talking about, and asked me not to tell the girls that he asked. Of course, I didn't tell him anything.

Dinner was great! After that, we all walked to the bus stop to take bus. I took bus with some of the guys and talked a little on the bus.

Since the bus would pass by the VJ stop to go to Bedok, some VJ people came on the bus.

George waved to me, although we haven't talked in like don't know how long. I saw him, but didn't expect him to talk to me since we're not that close anyway. He was with Franchesca (not sure how to spell her name). Both of them were from AHS and I got to know George during the leadership camp. I don't know Franchesca though. Had seen her around in AHS and VJ, and heard of her name, but didn't know her as a friend. Anyway, the 3 of us talked a little until I had to alight at Bedok.

Jiahui alighted too. And while we were walking to the bus queue, he asked me what the girls were talking about. And of course, I couldn't tell him. I had a urge to tell, but if I did and all the guys found out, it would be so embarassing!

And he said that all the guys were guessing what we were talking about when they were in the changing room! So if I said anything, it would surely spread among the guys. Then I'll get ostracised by the girls if they found out. So no way am I going to say anything!

Also, I want to talk about Si Wei in my post today.

She's a swimming J1, just joined this year. She's quite pretty, slim and has a nice body.

But she can be a bit whiny and bimbotic at times. Like she asked Ding Yong if she could come for less trainings cos the trainings were making her too tan! And last monday, she complained that she was getting too dark since that was a really hot day...

She's quite straightforward too. Sometimes can offend people with what she says. And also because of this, she can seem a little arrogant. But I think she doesn't do it on purpose. Maybe she doesn't know...

Also, she's an interesting girl. Talks about lots of stuff and is really a conversation starter. There'll never be a quiet moment with her around.

And sometimes, I can sense that she can be quite shy inside too (although she doesn't show it outside). Like she always asks me if I'm taking MRT with her after training because she doesn't want to be the only girl with the guys.

When I first got to know her, I didn't really like her because she came across as too whiny and arrogant. But once I got to know her better, she's actually a nice girl!

Compared to swimming trainings last year when there were only me and Li Ling as the only girls and were really separated from the guys, this year's swim team seems more united and fun!

I think it's because Ding Yong wants the girls and guys to be less separated so I feel like he's trying to be more friendly with us. And it seems to be working! :)
