No swimming today
As usual, we gathered at the canteen before going to Geylang East for training.
Only this time, the sky was rather grey. It looked like it was going to rain anytime.
We took the bus to Geylang East. And Vivien (new J1 girl) talked and laughed a lot. She told us about tampons and stuff. So open-minded sia!! Now that Si Wei is gone, because her O level results didn't allow her to stay, Vivien (who coincidentally knows Si Wei) is here to take her place. But, it's true that she really adds a lot of fun.
Now, when we reached Geylang East, we realised it was closed! It was because their staff had a team building session or something like that. I think they were playing games in the pool. The thing is, there wasn't any prior notice. Made us go there for nothing!
After discussing for a while, we decided to go to Bedok. I was quite reluctant to go because the Bedok toilet was very not clean. I really dislike such toilets! Eeew...
Ding Yong left it up to us if we wanted to go for training at Bedok. But the way he said it "it's up to you if you want to train or not" made us feel guilty if we didn't go.
So all of us went. Only to realise that the Bedok pool was closed too! And for the same reason! It must have been some swimming pool staff bonding day! All the pools we went to were closed!
So, we decided that we should have our own bonding session too. We went to some very cheap Japanese restaurant at Bedok interchange and had a bit of food. I really didn't want to eat because I already had some bread just less than an hour ago and I was going home for dinner. So in the end, the girls shared some side dishes.
The food there was really cheap! Shall go there again to eat if I have the chance!
It was quite fun talking to the others. Quite a bonding session!
My table had the 4 girls - me, Ngang Ju, Vivien and Cheryl, together with Jun Wei and Kai Xiang. The other table had Ding Yong, Joel Poon, Joel Tang, Jia Hui and some guy (I don't know his name!).
I think we ordered like less than $20 of food for the 11 of us but sat there really long.
There weren't many people anyway.
So yups, it was fun! I really enjoy swim outings, or even just trainings, this year. All thanks to the new girls! :)
*On a side note, I got 49.5% for Chemistry common test. Class average 51.5%. I know I did terribly! But for econs, I got 14/15 for MCQ. Super happy! Hope I can get a good A! The DRQ and essay not marked yet. I think Mrs Leong will take a super long time to get it marked.
Kimberly also asked me for a PE shirt today because she was taking part in sports day heats but forgot to bring. When I was having the swim team "bonding session" she smsed me:
"The results of kim's hurdling! crossed 3 hurdles, crossed n knocked over 3. Didn't complete e 3 or 4 left cos wasn't up to it. Haha. Ppl were laughing at me! =P"
"Eh u so mean! How can U laugh? Oh i forgot to tell u that poor kim was sadly desqualified when near e end, she stopped and PUT HER HANDS ON e HURDLE. Which is not allowed! Overall bad day cos kim jammed up e complab printer too n din manage to print her assignment due TODAY. But kim's happy to hav her char =)"
Oh my gosh! I laughed so hard when she smsed me. Haha! I love my Kim darling!
