Physics

Terrible! Just terrible...

I think I didn't study hard enough because I couldn't do some really basic questions that I thought I knew.

I just read the theory part, leaving out all the examples and didn't do any practice questions at all.

During the exam, I was feeling terrible. Cos I knew I would do badly. I don't do tutorials on a regular basis and now I'm going to do badly for the test. I think I deserve it. But I don't want that to happen.

I think I just didn't have enough time to study throughly for this whole common test.

Well, it may be good in a way since the situation will probably repeat itself when I study for A levels. Then I'll know how badly I'll fare when I don't study properly. So I'll have motivation to study harder from now on.

Like some of the previous tests or during some exams, I'll feel terrible during the paper cos I know I won't be able to do well.

Now that I've experienced that feeling once too many times, I've finally decided that I WILL STUDY HARD!

I will do my tutorials. And go through my notes every now and then.

If I don't, and I do poorly for A levels, then I probably deserve it.

Anyways, on the topic of A's.

A level results were released today.

My class people got their Chinese A level results too. And Jasmine got A1. The only one in our class. She was so so excited that her reaction was so... hmm... excited. haha... Sheryl got B3.

And it's sad that we're having our common test this week. Because, like last year, if the seniors did well, then we'll all ask for half day, or even a full day off the next day during morning assembly.

But because we're having tests, I doubt we'll be able to get any day off this week. If not the papers will have to be postponed (don't think there's chance of cancelling it. though we're all hoping for the unexpected. haha...). So if there is a day off next week, the "excitement" will probably die down by then. Then there would be no meaning to celebrate anymore!

Also, I wanted to meet up with the horti seniors and have an outing today, after the results are released. But in then end, we had to study for tomorrow's paper, so no time to go out to play!

On a happier note, I think this year's cohort did a little better than last year's.

We have 2 top science students with 9 distinctions (4A's, A1 for GP and 2nd language and THREE(!!!) S paper distinctions) And 1 top arts student with 8 distinctions (2 S papers).

Oh my gosh! How is it possible to do so well?

I want next year's top student to be me! Although I know that dream is a little far off. Haha... But I won't fall too far behind!

The seniors all came in their home clothes. And lots of guys had really, really short hair! (because of NS) But it was much longer than I expected. haha... I wonder why guys have to shave their heads when they go into NS. Does that make them run faster? Less air resistance? haha...

Jasmine told me that she has a female cousin who went into NS and she, too, had to shave her head! What?!

If one day, the government decides that girls have to go to NS, and have to shave their heads, it'll definitly cause an uproar. Actually I don't mind going into NS. Seems fun to live with other people and do torturing exercises all day long. haha... But shave my head? No way man! I won't even change my hairstyle unless I agree with it.

I also met Mun Bbun because he had to return me money for the V day gifts I bought for his girlfriend. He got Maths-A, Physics-A, Geography-B, Econs-C and Geog S-distinction, Physics S-ungraded.

It's weird how he can get distinction for geog S but get B for the A level paper. He was disappointed with the results because he was applying for scholarships.

He said his group of friends (including him) studied very hard, but their results were disappointing. Another group that didn't study as hard had results like 4 A's! Life's unfair! But at least it tells me that I still have the chance to catch up!

We took the same bus and I talked to him on the way. Really makes me miss all the horti seniors so so much!

Will we have any more chances to see them? I don't know... We don't seem to have any...

Anyway, for next year's A level results, I'm sure that I want to feel confident before I receive my results. So I'll study hard! Yay!

wow, your school can take goeg with physics? my school do not even offer anything close to that. haha that is like my dream combi! haha. i love geog! but i am not veri arty, haha but i still ended uo in the arts stream.

anyway! all the best for your a levels! i must work hard too!
