A bunch of nerves
Tomorrow's Methodist Girls' School's swimming carnival and there's an event for JC teams and we're invited to it.
Only girls though.
We are taking part in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay.
I'm nervous cos freestyle isn't my best stroke. I find it really tiring, that's why breaststroke suits me more. But no choice, since we have limited girls so I have to go. Quite honoured though, cos the other girls chosen to go all swim free style. I'm the only breaststroker so I'm glad that I got chosen.
We practiced the timing to plunge, and there were quite a few hiccups. At first, we were all afraid that if we didn't jump properly, we would jump on the person before. So we ended up jumping even worse.
Luckily it's a lot better now.
Today's training at CSC was quite slack. We learnt more plunging and turning for all 4 strokes. The training was quite timely as we needed help on plunging. The coach even stayed back for quite a while to specially teach us.
So the thing is, I'm nervous because I'm not as good as I would like to be at freestyle. I don't swim it often so I worry that I won't perform.
We took our time trials last week and my timing as almost the same as Ngang Ju. Not bad actually, it's rather close to the others. I think I'm faster than Janice.
So maybe, I don't have to worry that much after all. Wish me good luck! :)
