Enterprise Day

Went to ITE with Bizclub.

Initially, I was supposed to go with Kimberly. Then later, Jasmine said she wanted to go too, so I asked Kim if it was alright for 3 of us to go together. She said ok.

But this morning, I was late by 5 minutes. They had already boarded the bus, luckily haven't left.

Kim was sitting with Jacqueline and Jas was alone so I sat with her. Somehow, I feel like I "abandoned" Kim cos I agreed to go with her in the first place.

Throughout the whole event, she was with Jac. They're good friends actually, since they're in the same class. But before we signed up for the event a few days ago, she said that Jac was going with her friend so I had no idea why they ended up together.

The dress code was casual. However, only me, Kim and Jac were in home clothes. Somehow, the others had unanimously decide to wear something school based.

We reached there after a short bus ride. Everyone else were in their respective school uniforms. Only the VJ people were really casual. We were wearing home clothes, and the others in some school tee shirts. Haha...

I saw Cindy there too!

The event started with a game. It was about buying components, manufacturing products and then selling it. It was about speed, wits and of course, money.

There was a guy who tried to hype up the atmosphere in the beginning. He was saying "I say enterprise, you say day. Enterprise (us: day), enterprise (us: day)" But it was kinda stupid. Haha... Worse of all, he did that 3 times!

Maybe it did help to lighten the atmosphere. Maybe...

The game was loads of fun! Lots of running around to get money, fast!

It was really, really interesting. Quite educational, but mostly fun! I love it!

Later, we went to the auditorium for a talk. The audi was so nice! The chairs so comfortable and the place so big.

First speaker was Dr Vivian Balakrishnan. All along, he just gives me the impression that he's very charismatic. I like the way he speaks. He's a very handsome guy too. Really admire him. Don't know why actually. But it's not that type of "like". Eeew...

After that, there were talks by the founder of the $1.99 shop and Elim Chew (77th street founder) and Hossan Leong.

Hossan Leong's speech didn't have any point. I think it was just for humour.

The whole talk was rather enriching. I'm glad that I went.

After the talk was over, we went for lunch at TM.

We went to pastamania and I had chicken bolognese with the short straw-like pasta. Kim's was spicy chicken.

It was nice! But quite ex too.

After that, the others went back while Kim and I stayed at TM to walk walk. We went to look at earrings at lots of shops. I bought a pair of gold hoops from "Helen". It's my favourite shop in TM and I've been eyeing that pair of earrings for very long already. It's only $3.90 and I absolutely love it!

We also went to U2 to look at the clothes. Then Kim suggested trying the clothers for fun. We wouldn't be buying anything. We didn't have enough money anyway. I tried a 2-piece yellow racer back with white spaghetti. It was quite nice. Kim tried 2 tops. So fun!

Like we were doing something wrong (trying when we had no intention of buying). So thrilling! Whahaha...

After that, we went to the bus interchange where we would go home.

On the way, we met a malay guy who wanted a donation of $10. Weird thing is, he didn't have any coupon or donation can. So after we give him the money, where would he put it? In his wallet for safe keeping maybe...

He had some identification thing. Anyway, Kim and I didn't have any money at all. Especially after I bought the earrings. He damn suay la. Want to cheat also choose the wrong people. I didn't even have 1 note! And Kim only had about $2+. When we told him that we had no money for a $10 donation, he suggested $5 instead. You siao ar?

Do you think we're so stupid as to think being cheated of $5 is better than 10?

He finally gave up when I showed him my blank wallet.

These people should really not do such things. Next time got real donation, who dares to donate? I think the safest is to donate to students with donation cans. At least most of them won't be so bold as to cheat wearing their school uniform and also there'll be lots others collecting donation too so it should be real.

People, remember that there are still others less fortunate who need your help! Don't stop donating just because some people cheat. There are still other ways to donate. :)
