I want my SAT scores!

I took the May SAT on 6th May and the scores are supposed to be out on 31st May (that's today!) But they're not out yet! Makes me so nervous.

I checked last night after mid night (which is technically this morning) and it's not out yet.

Even now when I check before I go swimming, it's still not out...

Faster!!! I'm dying of anxiety!

It better be out when I come back from training!

*Updated: 2.37pm

I went for training, had lunch and now I'm home again. But it's still not out! Argh!!!

The celebration

Today, the soccer guys presented the trophy to the school during assembly.

I still remembered Keefe (soccer captain) was thanking everyone who helped them in one way or another blah blah blah.. Then at the end, he said "Thanks to all Victorians who came to support us today. We can't do anything to thank you guys, but I'm sure Mrs Chan can."

He handed to mic to Mrs Chan and she announced a full day. See? I'm right! I already predicted the full day yesterday. I'm psychic. :P

We saw the video of stuff that happened in term 2, ending the video with the spectacular last 4 minutes of the match.

And I have a correction to make. Yesterday when I blogged about the game, I got the timing of the goals wrong. Apparently, we scored 3 goals in the last 4 minutes. Ha! We rock! Take a look at the video and you'll know why:

Convinced that we rock?! Haha... You better be!

If not, you can go to http://cosiety.vjc.sg/ our VJ blog, or read this.

Can read this too if you want to know what I was talking about the goal that wasn't counted. I'm not exactly into football, so I won't blame you if you can't understand what I was trying to say yesterday.

After the full day announcement, we did mass dance. Haven't done that for ages, forgot a lot of it already. Ooops...

There was supposed to be maths lecture but no mood la, Sheryl said only 6 people in the class went.

Initially I wanted to organise a horti outing but it turned out that a lot of people weren't free. The year 2s also gave Mrs Chuah a very big card today, since we're stepping down. Not exactly a card, it was a big black board, with lots of photos and we wrote our messages in gold or silver pen. Jiayan did a great job with arranging the photos and decorating the board. :) It's so nice!

So Kim and I went to Tampines Mall just to walk walk. And my, did we walk a lot. We window shopped for 3 whole hours, only taking a short break in between to share a packet of Long John fries. Yummy! We walked into almost every accesory shop, plus loads of shops that sold clothes and bags, and stuff. Especially earrings! We saw so many of those.

But, we didn't buy anything. Both of us are seriously broke. We didn't even have $20 combined after we took our neoprint. Speaking of neoprint, we were both nervous wrecks in that tiny little booth. It's always like that for me. With the time counting down and so many more decorations I want to draw, I just go mad. Same for Kim. Turns out that she hadn't taken neoprint for more than a year, so, add the both of us together, and you've got a madhouse in that small photo booth.

Good news is, the photos came out perfect! What did you expect? It was the 2 of us in the picture after all! Haha... :D

After finishing the shops at Tampines Mall (from level 1 to 4), we went to Century Square where we shopped at the "Exclusively hers" section on level 2 for a while. Brought Kim to the super nice toilet there too.

Then, we went back. Our legs couldn't take it much longer. I think we lost more calories walking than the number of calories we ate from the fries. So overall, it was a fruitful shopping trip (even though we didn't buy anything. Ha!)

We are the champions!

Yup yup yup!!! Our soccer guys won MJC 4-2 in the soccer finals at Jalan Bersah stadium today! Woohoo! We totally rock!

Now, we're the champs of both girls and guys soccer! Yeah!

Me, Jasmine and Li Yue went for a tour of an advertising firm before the match. We thought that we would miss quite a lot of the match, but luckily we didn't. We took a cab down, together with Wen Zhe. But the waiting time for the cab, and while we were in the taxi was killing us!!! Jasmine was just so excited about it that she kept saying silly stuff like "I can feel it, Vj is kicking the ball now. The captain is kicking to ball to blah blah blah..." Like she was psychic or something. Haha...

We were talking about how anxious we were about watching the match that even the taxi driver knew. He told us that we would reach soon.

It was a short trip actually. Just that the waiting seemed like a such a drag.

When we reached, the game already started, but not long ago. No goals yet. We sat at the third row. But we were completely at the side of the field, so the view wasn't very good.

I felt VJ didn't play well in the first half. We let in 1 goal and it was really really scary!

Last year we lost to MJ when we tied 1-1 and had to go to penalty shoot outs. We did more than 5 penalty kicks, until we lost, just by 1 ball. It was such a close match! This year, we can't lose to MJ again. We just couldn't!

VJ 's standard suddenly picked up during the second half. Like they all had steriods during half time. Haha... Just joking!

We cheered like mad, then finally in the second half, we scored a goal!!! It was such a beautiful goal! The ball was kicked quite high, then it dropped almost vertical, just nice to drop into the net. Just perfect! It was like hope just flooded back. We kept cheering and cheering, so happy that we could have a shot at the champion cup.

But not long after, MJ scored another goal and we were completely crushed!

Then, there was one part where VJ scored a goal but it wasn't counted! The ball went into the goal, but didn't touch the net. The thing is, one of the MJ players stood inside the goal and hit the ball away with his head. Jasmine said that should be counted. And I can verify for that! I had a complete view of the side of the goal (due to my lousy seat). The guy was so definitely standing inside the goal!

Still, the goal wasn't counted and the refree gave us a penalty kick. But we missed. Refree kayu!!! It was supposed to be a goal!!!

There wasn't a lot of time left and we really wanted to win! With the (in our opinion) biasness of the refree, we thought we might lose. We cheered a lot, a lot more. The SC in front told us that there's only 15 minutes left and we had to give it our all!

Then, VJ scored! We were so so happy! I cried, cos everything was just so emotional. We hugged each other and I just can't describe to you the overwhealming feelings we all had.

But, the good bit is yet to come. Just a few minutes after our second goal, VJ scored again! At that time, there wasn't much time left so it was quite confirmed that we would win. Still, we had to defend our lead till the very last second just to make sure.

The SC told us that there were only 2 minutes left and we should all continue to cheer to guaranatee that the champion cup would definitly go home with us to VJ.

Then, miracle happened, and we scored another goal! Can you believe it?!

At that time, we were all convinced that we would win. We started cheering " WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!".

When the final whistle was blown, we all cheered like we never cheered before. This time, VJ had beaten (or should I say trashed) MJ and we really are the champions!

We started cheering "full day! full day!" to get Mrs Chan to give us a full day off tomorrow.

I'm almost 100% sure that we'll have full day.

Because on wednesday, she said well definitely have half day on friday - dismissal at 11.35am. If we won any more finals (which we did, for soccer girls and hockey girls yesterday. Hockey guys came in 2nd.) we would be dismissed one period earlier for every championship we won.

So currently, our dismissal time stands at 10.25am. With our win today, I'm quite sure there'll be no lessons tomorrow. No one would be in the mood for school and what use is 3 periods of lessons? We might as well have full day right? Haha...

So, yay! I'm going to school tomorrow to celebrate!!!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Handing over...

It's the day that we, year 2s, are stepping down!

Last year, the horti seniors released the results by writing the positions and names on bananas.

This year, we wrote the names and positions on strips of paper and folded them into stars.

Problem is, some of the juniors took quite long to unfold it. Couldn't find the opening. Haha...

Anyway, this marks one year of me being the chairperson, and it's been great.

From chairing meetings every week to handling larger stuff like concert flower sales, teachers' day, and of course not forgetting V day, I've done it all! And I feel proud of myself for having come so far.

I think my batch of exco is a terrific one. We totally rock!

Now, we pass on the baton to the juniors, and may they let the horti name continue to shine! :)

Camp!

Yesterday, I started the day by going to the dentist to fix my braces. The wire across my extraction gap broke when I brushed quite hard the day before. And I was beginning to feel pain. Like the teeth were moving again, just that this time they were probably moving in the wrong direction without the pull of the braces.

I waited for about an hour, and my appointment was 30 minutes late. In the end, fixing my braces only took 5 minutes. Dr Woo took out some rubber bands and put the wire into place, then put in new rubber bands. But it was really quite painful when we was taking out and putting on the rubber bands!

After that, I went back to school for 1 period of GP. There's only one period because we had half day. We're going to support the basketball girls finals!

At 12.15pm, we took the bus to Toa Payoh stadium and when we reached, the VJ cheering was really impressive. We had this long tube thingy and each person would take 2 and hit them together, makeing a loud clapping-like sound.

We had almost twice of the number of RJ supporters and RJ didn't cheer because they had only so few people. We were cheering like mad and it was seriously very impressive. You could really feel our power!

A little while before the match, more RJ people arrived, but still not as many as Victorians! And our cheering was still much louder (according to my honest, unbiased opinion, although I was sitting in the middle of hundreds of Victorians. Ha... :D ).

All of us expect VJ to win because our girls are really strong!

We scored the first 2 points and that was a good start!

For the first quarter, VJ was leading about 4 points throughout.

2nd quarter, Amelia played, I think. She played only a little during the whole game which I think is very wasted cos she is super good! The scores became very competitive. It was like when VJ was leading by 1 point, RJ would score and we'll be down by one. Then RJ would score, then we would score. It was like that for the second and third quarter.

It was so exciting but we were all very worried. Although our girls are good, we cannot deny that the RJ team is not bad too. At a few points, I was close to tears. I really wanted us to win! The 3rd quarter ended at 36-38. We were trailing by 2 points.

4th quarter. The situation wasn't much better for us. In fact, it got worse. The gap got greater and when there were only 2 to 3 minutes left, we were already trailing by 8! We were all secretly hoping that there'll be a slightest chance that we'll be able to make a recovery. But seeing how strong RJ was, it was really difficult.

Finally, the game was over, and we lost. 47-57. I can't believe that we actually lost by 10 points. It's quite a lot. The girls probably got disheartened when the gap got bigger, so their performance was affected. It was just so sad. I cheered the hardest I had ever cheered and I really, really wanted us to win, but we lost!

It was a very close match and we have to applaud our girls for putting up a tough fight nonetheless. 3 cheers for VJ! Hip hip hurray!

After the match, I had to go back to VJ cos we were having a horti camp. I was quite worried that we wouldn't be able to make it back in time because there was a rather bad traffic jam on the way back and Jia Yan didn't manage to get on the first bus.

But luckily, everything worked out fine. We got back in time, and boarded the bus to Bukit Timah. The people who went are me, Melissa, Jiayan, Kimberly, Wen Zhe, Yong Bin, Wei Sheng, Ryan, He Yun, Xu Duo, Tian Yuan, Ping, Pritha, Michelle, Ru Xin and Mrs Chuah. 16 of us in all. So glad that Ru Xin could come!

Kim's in charge of this section of the camp and overall, stuff went well. Luckily it just rained so the weather was just perfect. Not too wet also. The way up was really quite steep. Jiayan was leading the way most of the time cos the guys had to walk behind, by order of Mrs Chuah, in case anything happened to girls walking behind. Since Jiayan is out "muscle woman", she was the fittest to lead us up. We walked on the green trail. Quite long actually. Then we finally reached the summit. Seriously can't remember how long we took. It was rather tiring the way up.

At the summit, we rested for a while and took loads of photos. It was very enjoyable up there. We wanted to take a group photo and there was this very nice guy that offered to take the picture for us. So nice right? :)

The way down was much, much easier. Also because we took another shorter route down. The others went to the toilet while me and Jiayan took photos with the Bukit Timah sign and saw some monkeys.

At around 6.30pm, we boarded the bus that brought us to Parkway for dinner. The good thing about this whole camp is that we have bus to take us to almost everywhere. Haha... So convenient.

We took a vote, and majority chose KFC. I couldn't bite with my front teeth cos my braces were still feeling tight. So I had the popcorn chicken meal with cheese fries. I could only eat this meal cos I could put the small pieces of chicken at the back of my mouth to chew. I could chew, but cannot bite.

In the end, I ended up finishing last. Towards the end before I finished, we started talking about something funny, can't remember what. I was laughing. Kimberly sitting opposite me was laughing too. And when I see other people laugh, I'll laugh even more. Same with Kim. So in the end, we kept inducing each other to laugh. Kim's laughter died down gradually but I just couldn't stop laughing. Especially when Jiayan and Yong Bin saw me having my "laughing fit", they kept making me laugh even more by saying stuff like "1, 2, 3, laugh!". Then I would start laughing all over again.

I laughed till I cried! Haha... I think I can laugh so madly and uncontrollably only when I'm with such good company. I love the horti people so much!

And as expected, I finished my food last. With my braces and all that non-stop laughing, what did you expect?

Finally managed to control my laughter and eat the remaining few pieces of chicken, with some help from the others, when Mrs Chuah said we were seriuosly behind schedule.

We went to Q bread to buy our breakfast for tomorrow morning. After that, we took 197 back to school. That was the only public bus we took. All other buses were chartered. Ha... On the way there, Michelle had motion-sickness. She was already feeling dizzy after the ride from Bukit Timah. But in the end, she felt better when we went back to school.

We went to shower and the guys had to stay guard outside the girls' toilet, by order of Mrs Chuah (again). Haha... Since there were limited toilets, I bathed only during the second round. So when the others were bathing, me, He Yun, Xu Duo and Tian Yuan were talking to Yong Bin and Wei Sheng. We talked about lots of stupid stuff and made fun of how Wei Sheng was the shower time in charge and had to do inspection etc. Of course, he didn't actually have to inspect anything (or anyone). It was only a joke.

Yong Bin said that we didn't prepare any questions to ask the juniors for election later. And he suggested a question for them "Who do you think is the weakest link in the current exco?". All of us immediately pointed to him. No offence of course, we were only joking. Haha...

After showering, we went to the Maths Resource Room, where we started on our exco elections. We had to push back everythink by 1 hour because we were behind schedule.

Xu Duo and He Yun ran for chairperson, Michelle and Ping ran for vice-chair. Tian Yuan, treasurer and Pritha, secretary.

Most of their speeches were alright, except fot Ping and Pritha, whose speeches seemed quite under-prepared. We made up questions along the way. And compared to our seniors, the questions we asked this time were easier, although they weren't that mean to us anyway.

We asked He Yun and Xu Duo quite a lot of questions since they were running for chair. In the end, time was running short and we had to shorten the Q & A session for the later speakers.

The juniors' speeches had some unrealistic plans. It was then that I realised how much I learned through being chair of horti because there are some stuff that sound easy to implement, but are actually not that feasible after all. Obstacles crop up because everything can't be perfect. Like we can't help wasting some time during meetings cos it's not easy to discuss non-stop. We need really proper planning to do that. And during the election speeches, the fact that I was now on the panal of interviewers instead of being the one interviewed (like last year) seemed surreal. Did we really grow up that much?

Throughout the elction, Yong Bin talked to me once in a while. Made it interesting for me actually, if not I may have felt stressed and in turn stress out the juniors. Haha...

It was 10.45pm when elections ended and Mrs Chuah rushed to the staff lounge cos she wanted to catch the last 15 mintues of da chang jin. Haha... Didn't know that she watches that show.

After the speeches was the module on air plants conducted by Ryan. He gave a short presentation and gave us some plants to bring home and grow. Air plants are nice because, as the name suggests, they grow in air - no soil, and it's really easy to take care of. We were all trying to tie the wire to the plant to support it but most of ours came out upside down.

After that, Michelle and Kimberly sang "two in a million" and "zai yi ci yong you". It was very nice! Then Tian Yuan and He Yun sang a chinese song (I don't know the name) and Tian Yuan and Xu Duo sang another song (I don't know the name too). I think the last song was the best and Tian Yuan is the best singer. She can really have the title of our kbox queen. :)

Then, a few of them sang Superstar by SHE. That was the last item and we went back to our bunks at V21 (for girls) and V22 (for guys).

I was having a craving for cup noodles and Jiayan suggested that we go to the canteen's vending machine to buy. Mrs Chuah said that I should make sure no one goes out of the V2 level after lights out, which is 12 midnight. I know I should be setting a good example but heck, I was the one in charge of holding the key so I don't really need anyone's permission to go out. Haha...

We asked Yong Bin and Wei Sheng if they wanted to get anything, then in the end, they ended up going with us, even though they didn't want to eat. Ryan went to.

It was kinda fun sneaking around, unlocking the gate that only I had the key to. We had to keep really quiet when we went downstairs near the staff room because Mrs Chuah was sleeping inside. If she caught us, we would be dead, especially me. No doubt about it.

All the lights in the corridor were off and it was really spooky. Completely dark, no light, except from the moon and the stars. Seriously! The guys started joking about the swing moving on its own and some spooky stuff.

We got to the vending machine and I didn't have anything to eat the cup noodles with. Jiayan said there was a fork in the cup. But in the end, there wasn't. I proceeded to cook it anyway, if not what would I do with it? Bring home? Haha... I'll find a way to eat it somehow. We walked back, up the stairs and locked the gate. Then the guys went to sleep in V22.

With only 3 of them in one room, and Ryan wanting to sleep, there was nothing much for Yong Bin and Wei Sheng to do, so I guessed the only option was to sleep.

Me and Jiayan went to V21, the girls' bunk. Xu Duo, Tian Yuan were doing homework on the laptops they brought to play songs for our music session. Are IP really so busy? I guess so.

Wen Zhe, Kimberly, He Yun, Melissa and Michelle were playing bridge. Jiayan and I started playing cards too. She taught me how to play 2 people bridge (there's a different way of giving out the cards). We also played memory. She won by 1 set. And as for my noodles, the only thing I could eat with was my toothbrush. Cos it was too hot to use my fingers. I used the end part of my toothbrush and it was really funny. Also, I had to suck up the noodles and it made quite a loud sound. Me and Jiayan kept on laughing and laughing and she took photos of me too.

At about 2.30am, we went to sleep. We were planning not to sleep at all and play throughout the night but that would make us really tired so we chose to sleep. It was quite hot and I opened up my sleeping bag. Then He Yun and Kimberly commented that their sleeping bags quite thin, the floor very hard, very difficult to sleep. So I invited them to sleep with me since mine was much thicker. So they slept in their sleeping bags, and the 3 of us slept on my open sleeping bag. Quite weird actually. Haha...

I slept quite a bit, but I kept waking up half way to toss and turn. Then in the middle of the night, I got cold. But I couldn't close my sleeping bag cos He Yun was sleeping on it. But Kim was gone. I sat up, then I realised that she was reading because she couldn't sleep. I folded part of my sleeping bag over me and slept relatively well throughout.

My handphone alarm rang at 6.45am and I woke up. Kim was already up. She said that she only slept 2 hours. We went to wash up and when I came back, I saw a squashed cockroach at the door. Someone must have unknowingly stepped on it. Gross!! Hope it wasn't me, cos there wasn't any bug stain on my slippers.

I asked the others to go down for breaskfast first, while I had to wait for Ryan for the key to lock the room. Meanwhile, I went to the guys' bunk to help them clear up. Me and Yong Bin were shifting the furniture back into place. And I must say, we were really quite efficient!

After locking up the rooms, me and the 3 guys went to meet Mrs Chuah to pass her the keys and stuff. I felt like I really connected with the guys during the camp, like when we were outside the toilet the previous day, when we went to buy cup noodles, and now when we cleared up the rooms and went to meet Mrs Chuah. :)

Breakfast was the bread we bought yesterday.

When everyone arrived, we boarded the bus. Today, there are only 15 of us. Michelle couldn't make it for the second day. I played bridge with Wen Zhe, Wei Sheng and He Yun on the way. Wei Sheng is our bridge king! He didn't lose a single game! But maybe he would have lost if I was his partner. Haha... I totally suck at bridge and too bad for me, luckily for him, I didn't get a chance to partner him.

Yong Bin and Wei Sheng were in charge of the MacRitchie trip. Yong Bin kept saying that he was worried because Mrs Chuah kept picking on him and he wanted the trip to go smoothly. The trail was not bad, the slopes weren't as extreme as bukit timah's.

We took lots of photos there too. The treetop trail was fantastic. But Jiayan and Ryan were both afraid of heights.

There was one part of the trail that was blocked because of a landslide so we had to go by another makeshift route. It was kinda fun cos the other route was quite difficult and we had to cross a small stream by walking on a log. Haha... :)

We went up the tower too. And took lots more photos there. Time was tight, so we had limited time to enjoy the view.

The orginal plan was to have pizza delivery at 11pm at MacRitchie and have our lunch there. But in the end, we couldn't cos the pizza delivery only started at 12noon.

We ordered McDonald's instead and had it at our next destination, Oh Chin Huat Hydroponics Farm. I had coke and fries, but no burger cos I couldn't bite. And I had a bun that I bought extra for breakfast this morning. In the end, Yong Bin said he wanted me to order a meal since he could eat more and the difference wasn't much. He would pay me the difference. So he had his fillet meal and my fillet burger. Amazing how he can eat so much.

He offered me his fries but I didn't want. Later get fat. Haha...

I don't know exactly how it started but I suddenly realised that Yong Bin was a very nice guy and I like him. Haha... Ya, like as in "like". It was very gradual. Spending so much more time with him during this camp, I just sorta had some feelings. Haha... Especially after we sat next to each other during the elections and talked quite a bit, and after the MacRitchie trip where he was in charge.

Just not too long ago, I found him to be irritating at times. Just a teeny weeny bit. But of course, he was a very good friend. Mrs Chuah likes to pick on him and he's quite afraid to get into trouble with her. But sometimes I feel that she's being to critical and I'll say some good things about him.

He's actually quite serious and responsible about being the treasurer. Like when he'd absent from meetings, he'll ask for the attendance and stuff. He's never been absent without a proper reason before, although he's quite involved in stuff so he can be busy at times. I really think that he's a lot like Mun Bbun. After all, it was Mun Bbun who introduced him to horticulture and they're both from kayaking and involved in a lot of community work.

Anyway, back to the trip...

This part of the trip was organised by Wen Zhe. It's very very interesting and we learned loads of stuff! Our guide, I think her name is Aileen, took us around and introduced many herbs and spices to us. Some could be eaten and she kept making fun of Yong Bin by making him try eveything first. We tried some parsely that made us salivate more, a leaf that made our tongues numb, and I tried pepper too! Spicy!

After that, we looked around at the plants they planted and there were rows after rows of vegetables. Aileen said that they supply vegetables to Fairprice and Cold Storage. We also went into a greenhouse were someone said she saw a charmelon. We didn't see it cos it hid underneath. I was scared, and the only one that was scared. Embarrassing la!

At the end of the tour, we went to the shop where they sold plants. We bought a few pots for our garden and I bought a pot of mint for my Mum. We had free vegetables and a dill plant too. Dill contains essential oils and if you pluck the leaves, the smell can cure insomnia.

Then, we went over to world farm, just near by. There were lots of different plants there. We bought a lot more plants for our garden. Took more photos of course, I have a funny picture of Yong Bin putting on some funny umbrella on his head. It's called a "no-hands" umbrella. :)

Almost all the way, I was thinking quite a lot about Yong Bin. It's just weird how we could be friends for so long, then I suddenly develop a liking for him. I think we can continue to just be great buddies if I didn't like him in that way... Haiz... I also don't know.

Somehow, I also think that maybe Yong Bin likes me? I don't know. Maybe I'm just too sensitive. Haha... He's a very friendly guy and is very friendly to everyone. It can get quite irritating thinking about that one person, asking questions that I may never get the answers to.

The world farm was the last stop of our camp. We headed back to school, and Jiayan, Wen Zhe, Wei Sheng and me were playing bridge again. Needless to say, I lost almost eveytime and Wei Sheng won all the time. Jiayan won quite a lot too, except maybe the times she partnered with me, I still remember the last game. Jiayan and Wei Sheng were partners. They had the 4 aces among themselves and lots of the spade trump cards. I had only 2. So obviously, me and Wen Zhe lost quite terribly.

We packed our stuff and went to the scrabble board for debriefing. We had post mortem for all parts of the trip and had exco voting session too. Then, the junios were dismissed while the year 2s and Mrs Chuah discussed the results.

We had a hard time deciding the chair. Should it be xu Duo or He Yun? According to the votes, the juniors voted more in favour of Xu Duo. The year 2s prefered He Yun. Both were very capable. Xu Duo was more responsible and efficient, however, we felt she didn't mix enough with the others. He Yun, on the other hand, was a more people person. It was a choice between a capable leader, or a people's person who could gel the members together. In the end, it was Xu Duo as chair.

We felt the juniors had a serious problem of cliques. Xu Duo and Tian Yuan are room mates so they often stick together. Ping and Pritha are together. He Yun is close in general to Tian Yuan and Xu Duo, since they're all China scholars and Ping. Michelle, was instead, closer to us year 2s, especially Kimberly. Kim said Michelle spent the entire day with her on friday.

Vice-chair was between He Yun and Michelle. We felt that michelle had too many committments and since He Yun was so sociable, as the vice-chair, she could bond the members more.

Treasurer was already quite obvious. Everyone voted for Tian Yuan. She appeared to be quite shy when she first joined us. But during the camp, she opened up a lot and shown that she's really quite capable when she calculated money for our McDonald's lunch.

Secretary. It was between Ping, Pritha and Michelle. Michelle is a really capable person. So it went to her. Ping and Pritha's speeches seemed too under-prepared and they weren't vocal enough. Our only concern was that being the only 2 not in the exco, they would stick together more and cause the society to be separated into groups. But we decided that the most capable person should be chosen and if Ping and Pritha were included in society activities, with some time, they would fit in just right.

So, after much deliberation, the results are as follows:
Chairperson: Xu Duo
Vice-chiarperson: He Yun
Secreatry: Michelle
Treasurer: Tian Yuan

The experience of choosing the next exco seemed surreal. I still couldn't believe that it was our turn. We asked Mrs Chuah how was it like when we were chosen for exco and she said last year's was much easier. Because I had initiative, Jiayan was very zai3 and Melissa was chosen for her bubbly nature. We're all relieved to hear that. In essence, she said we were a more capable group. And I said "We rock! I love us!" Haha... I seriously think so.

It was already 6.30pm then and we all decided to go home. Actually I wanted us to have dinner but most of them were tired or had to go back for dinner. So only me and Jiayan were left. Since there were only 2 of us, and we had so much baggage to carry, we decided to go back too.

When I went back, I had instant noodles for dinner and showered. I kept thinking that after we hand over, our year in horti would have ended. All the fun and crazy times we had, I'll remember them all. Seriuosly, I love every single one of the year 2s and all of us contributed to this wonderful batch in our own special way. I cried a little, like the way I felt when I had to leave the wonderful people at Conrad... I'll seriously miss horti meetings, even though sometimes we wish for it to rain so we could skip gardening, and just everyone!!!

And so, that's the end of the camp. I doubt we'll ever get to stay together like that again... A lot of us were tired, but not me. I was still quite energetic. Maybe because I had a relatively good sleep and was really excited about the whole camp. I felt it was too short. It's so fun, and we have so many things to do, but so little time. It would be better with one more day!

Nonetheless, I must say that the camp was extremely well done. We all really bonded, especially me with the 3 guys, and some of the juniors opened up too. Three cheers to Wen Zhe, Kimberly, Yong Bin and Wei Sheng for planning such a wonderful camp! Hip hip hurray! :D

Good news!

The basketball girls beat HCI by about 20 points and are in tomorrow's finals.

Yesterday, softball girls beat HCI 9-1 (woohoo!!!) and we are the softball champs.

Today, soccer guys beat SAJC 2-0. And hockey guys beat SAJC (also!) 1-0. Both are now in the finals.

VJ SPORTS TOTALLY ROCKS!

Our sports teams are so damn good, we're unbeatable! And I'm proud of us too!

How good it'll be if we became champions for all these games.

To support basketball girls in the finals against RJC at Toa Payoh tomorrow, we're having half day. We're all released at 11.30pm to support the match!

I seriously hope we win! My class is always picked to skip lessons to support matches cos we have so many sports people in our class. Amelia is playing tomorrow. She's just super at basketball and looks super cool when she's playing. She totally rocks man!

Tomorrow after the match, I'll be going back to school for horti camp. I am so looking forward to it. It'll be loads of fun!

We're staying over in school on friday night and visiting places like Bukit Timah, McRitchie, and some farms. I think the most fun part is staying overnight with the wonderful horti people and playing throughout the night. Whahaha...

I am so looking forward to it. Will blog about it when I come back!

Meanwhile, all the best for the basketball girls tomorrow! :)

Funny funny!

During today's training, Ding Yong made a funny comment.

He was trying to say that Eric's breaststroke is not bad.

But because he is used to saying shortforms, he ended up saying:

"Eric, your breast not bad."

After we heard that, we all roared with laughter. Whahaha...!!!

If that's the case, then my breast must be the best among all the girls, since I'm the only year 2 breaststroker. HA!

Today was also a really fun training cos me and Cheryl swam behind the breaststroker guys and it felt nice not to be the one leading and let the guys take the lead. It felt really nice and less stressful.

*P.S. I know I haven't been blogging for a super long time now. I really have lots to blog about. My extractions, braces, SAT, tests, flower sales during concerts, me and Jia Yan's interesting cycling trip, glossolalia etc... Just so much stuff, but no time. Hopefully I'll blog it one day! Hopefully...
