I love coffee! Especially when it's ice cold and with milk!

Friends

It's the second day and I feel the 7 of us on attachment are much closer today.

At least we talked more, especially to the guys. Yesterday I left really early so like I didn't get to actually talk to them at all.

I think the guys are super crappy! Ha... Crappy guys always make me laugh. :D Our first task today was to wipe spoons at the ballroom. And guess what? They wanted to do it on the floor. We ended up putting napkins on the floor to put the clean spoons on. When the manager came in, he was quite shocked to see us all on the floor (actually can't blame us also, cos there were no free tables mah...).

One of the guys was folding the napkin on the floor. I think the manager almost went mad. It's just so crazy la! I wouldn't ever think of doing that! But I don't deny that it was fun. Haha... And since all of us doing together, then never mind lo...

After we finished, the manager came in again. And seeing all the spoons on the floor (on the napkin of course!), he said "Aiyah, put the spoons on the table". I can still remember his expression. Super funny! Haha!!! :D

After that, we went to salon by the pool on the 4th floor, which is beside the pool (duh!!) to set tables. It was quite fun actually. I like that place. It's really nice. :)

I also helped to fill the ice water goblet. Cool name right? Harry Potter has his goblet of fire, and mine is the goblet of ice water. Water puts out fire, so I win! Ha... So crappy! It was actually only glasses of water, but the glasses are green in colour. Very nice!

I think we went for lunch after that. Me, Dawn, Feng Sheng and Sean. It was very fun to eat together. Sean ate so much! How come he doesn't get fat? Not fair! We also went to use the computers and I found out Feng Sheng's blog add: www.thecelestialzoner-.blogspot.com. I read a bit just now. Don't tell him yet. Maybe another day. Hahaa...

After lunch, me and Dawn went back to the fourth floor. Aishu joined us after her lunch.

I was supposed to open the door for the guests. That was ok... Quite tiring standing there waiting for the guests to come. But once they started streaming in, it was less boring. Also got to know a few people working there too, although I still don't know their names.

There's this Indian guy who opened doors with me too. Then he accidentally hit a guest when he opened the door. That was when he decided to stand at the side to direct them to their seats instead. It was quite funny and I kept laughing. :D

We also served the guests. It was just some simple stuff like pouring water, coffee or tea and clearing the plates. It really sounds easy, but when I first started, I was quite nervous cos I had never done this before. Aishu was really quite calm. She looks professional!

The manager that was in charge of us most of the time was Jasmine. It's weird cos Jamine Teo from my class, her name is Jasmine too. So I wasn't quite used to it. Jasmine, the manager, was quite strict.

After we finished our work at the salon, all 3 of us were supposed to put something in the kitchen and that Indian guy gave us some desert. It was super nice! Reminds me of the times I was attached to the pastry kitchen.

Jasmine was kinda in a rush. When we went back, she was asking "Ask you all go kitchen to put something, why take so long?" We just smiled and didn't tell her anything. She was like some monster that we were trying to hide from. I was trying hard not to smile too happily (cos I thought it was funny we were trying to keep it from her) in case I gave us away. Then we would be in serious trouble.

Next, we went down to help at the ballroom. Howard and Emily were getting married that evening. (Who?) Haha... :) We prepared the little saucers of soy sauce and chilli. When I went to restaurants, it never occured to me that there was someone preparing all these nitty gritty stuff. It's just weird...

The 3 of us also went down to the pastry kitchen with another guy to collect the chocolates for the wedding gift. I saw chef Rosli, chef Garnesh, Ah Hau, Virginia, Ah Ming and caught a glimpse of Kuok I.

Chef Rosli was his usual crappy self. He's just so funny! Love his craziness, it always makes me laugh! :D Ah Ming saw me too, but somehow, I feel like he doesn't quite rememeber me. Maybe he was busy at that time... I still think he has problem remembering my name cos he's more of a chinese guy, not very good with english names.

I saw Kuok I too. Actually just a small glipse. I didn't go all the way inside the kitchen, only went in up to the baker's table, so I didn't see those who were working inside, including Kuok I. I think he's really cute. Don't think I mentioned that before in my previous posts when I went for the last attachment. Haha... So now you know. I think I'm mad! Always get hua1 chi1 so easily.

We only stayed for a little while at the kitchen before going back up to arrange the chocolates on the tables. I want to go visit them again!

After slacking around for a while, all 7 of us ended up together folding the menus and napkins for the evening's dinner. It was fun to just sit down, after standing for the whole day, and just crap.

We left at 5 plus. Then, I went to have dinner with my family at CHIJMES. We went to Lei's garden (it's a restaurant, not a garden!). Our total bill came up to about $140 so the food was definitely good! We had some appetisers, fish soup, king prawn, vegetables, noodles and some desert soup that tastes like chng tng (very very nice!!!)

The prawn was so giant, never seen anything like it. It's about the size of my fist, plus a little bit. Overall, the dinner was great. Loved it! :)

The service there was not bad too. It's only after these 2 days of attachment that I appreciate how much work they do just to serve the customers. Makes me enjoy being served even more!

We went home after that. To watch zhi zhun hong yan. I totally love that show!

It's already 11 now, and I think I better go sleep. I'm really really looking forward to tomorrow!!!
