Finally got to watch the movie yesterday. Still didn't manage to get Sheryl to go along though, she had to study for econs test.

It was a last minute decision to watch the show, because chem remedial and econs S were both suddenly cancelled. Haha... :)

Me and Li Yue went to marina square GV to watch.

The show was really nice. (spoiler ahead) I thought it was just some silly show, but it was more than that.

Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is a very busy man, always caught up in work that he neglected his family. One day, got a universal remote to manage the various appliances that he has. Then, he realises that it's actually a universal remote that controls the universe. Wow... Haha...

It lets him fast forward through the boring stuff in life. And after a while, the remote got used to his preferences. It automatically fast forwarded whenever those situations that he used to fast forward through occured. And he was losing control of his life!

He skipped so many years of his life that his relationship with his wife and children and parents got worse (he was in "auto-pilot" mode in those years he fast-forwarded through). Then he realises that he missed all the seemingly unimportant stuff in life like watching his children grow up, and spending time with his parents.

Then it strikes him that he was fast-forwarding his life all along (even before he had the remote) because he didn't pay much attention to his family at all.

When he finally wakes up (yes, it was all a dream after all!), he decided that he would spend more time with his family.

The story seems kinda bland when u read this, but i can assure you it's not like that. Cos I'm not a good writer. Ha... If the have the time, go watch it. The movie evokes a lot of emotion (I admit I cried... a bit) cos it'll make you treasure whatever you have now, especially your family. :)
