Monday 24th September

Sheryl can't join us again... She told us last night that she has a family dinner tonight. Haiz... Looks like we aren't fated to go out together.

Me and Jasmine went ahead anyway, and we had a really good time.

We met at Orchard MRT and guess who we saw there? Wei Yang, Kendrick and other guys from our class! What a coincidence! They asked us to join them for "class outing" but I'd rather go shopping. Haha...

Also at the MRT station, a lady approached us and said they were looking for new faces for a commercial. I bet they were looking at Jasmine instead of me cos she's much slimmer and was wearing shorts that showed off her long legs. Anyway, we just declined and walked away.

At home, my Mum said that a few days ago, outside NTUC, someone approached her to take a photo with a model, then if her photo gets chosen, she stands to win some prize. And my brother also said that there are a lot of such cases where people approach you to be a model, but after you make your portfolio that costs a few hundred dollars, you don't get any jobs (he read so from the newspapers).

So I bet it was something like that too. But then, it feels good to have someone approach you about this (though I strongly think that they were referrring to Jasmine, but I'm in denial... Haha...).

Today, we were planning to buy Amarjote's and my birthday presents. Amarjote wouldn't tell us what she wanted for her present (not like me who's so thick-skinned... haha...) so we decided to get her a purple box full of purple stuff since she loves purple. 5 of us were sharing the present and it was really nice to spend someone else's money whenever we saw nice and suitable things. Haha...

All in all, we bought a purple hearts keychain, purple handphone strap, purple lollipop earrings (that were super super cute!!!), purple handphone "sock", green ladybug earrings (this is not purple obviously, but it was cute...), purple friendship band, and a purple box to put them all in. So purple-ish! Haha... I bet she'll love it, since they're all really nice stuff, but I had even more fun shopping for them! Haha... :D

On the way, I also bought a pair of nice round yellow and white studs for $4. Nice!

Then, me and Jasmine went to take neoprint. The shop was really empty since it was a weekday, and we had loads of time to decorate our pictures. It came out really nice and we decided to include a picture of us in Amarjote's present. It's going to the absolute best part of her present! Whahaha... :D

For dinner, we ate at Subway while putting everything in the box. I made quite a big mess cos the sandwich was so gigantic. And we were so full after that.

After dinner, we went to Puma at Takashimaya to look at the bag they wanted to buy for me. But it was a pity cos we found out that it was limited edition and it wasn't there anymore... :( Sad... But never mind, I'll just look out for something else I like. By the way, the Nike bag that I previously said I loved so much, now I think it's too casual so I'll get something else instead. Haha...

After walking around there, we went to Forever 21 too, before going home.

Super fun day, since we got to buy so many things, and the best thing was that we bought using other people's money. Haha... And Jasmine's such great company too. We had a very interesting talk about dreams while we were on the train, and she got so paranoid that she almost screamed. Haha... I can't imagine if she really did.

Tuesday 25th September

Went out with Wei Qi today to Bugis and Icon. Come to think of it, I really don't know why I didn't invite her to go out with us when I went out with Si Hui and the others on friday. Hmm... But never mind that, we had fun today too.

We had lunch at MOS burger, and my meal was super expensive! $7! I should have ordered only the burger since I couldn't really finish the meal in the end. I can't stand spending so much on food. But I would have no reservations on spending that same amount or more on accesories or clothes. At least you can keep accessories and clothes. But food? It just ends up... never mind.

We went to Icon first and started at the highest floors. There were a few stores that we closed since it was an early Tuesday afternoon.

Throughout our whole "excursion" at Icon, I tried on 2 skirts, while Wei Qi tried on about 5 pieces I think. I bought only 2 pairs of earrings, totalling $5.50, while she bought 3 pairs of earrings, one bracelet and one t-shirt. Almost $40 in all. See the contrast?

For me, I usually go out shopping without planning to buy anything. Until I see something that I really like and is reasonably priced, then I buy. It's not really a matter of self-control. Rather, it's a matter of having not enough money...

Anyway, after shopping at Icon, we went back to Bugis were we looked at more stuff. We were already quite drained then and skipped quite a lot of shops cos our eyes needed to rest.

Before going back, we went to take Neoprint. Very fun! That was my first time taking neoprint with Wei Qi. :)

Wednesday 27th September

Went to Heeren with Kimberly today. I was so late cos I woke up at 11.30 when we were supposed to meet at 12.30. In the end, we postponed the meeting time to about 1.30pm.

She hadn't bought my birthday present yet, so she wanted me to choose something that I liked. Heeren was quite different from the last time I remembered it. I guess I haven't been there for quite some time. There were much fewer shops than I remembered.

Anyway, we went into this shop, called "Love and Peace" and Kim saw a white skirt that she loved so much. Unfortunately, it was a little off budget. The saleslady asked if she wanted to try it, and Kim, being very honest, told her that she didn't have enough money. Haha... Kim's so cute.

At M-industrie, there was 50% closing down sale! The clothes were really cheap! But almost everything had pink panther on it, and I don't like pink panther. In the end, I found something that I liked. It's a white shirt, with a nice cutting, and the word "freedom" in blue sequins in front. I thought it was nice. After 50% discount, it was $16.50 and Kim decided to pay part of it as part of my birthday present. She paid $7 for me. :)

We passed by a few bikini shops and joked about buying it. We even went into one shop to take a look. Haha... But bikinis are super expensive!

Then, we went to Cineleisure. We ate at Long John and talked for quite a while.

After that, we saw a pushcart selling earrings. They were going for $2.50 each, but now it's buy 4 get 2 free. In other words, it's 6 pairs for $10! Cheap right?! We talked to the lady, and she decided to let us buy 3 for $5.

And I tell you, there's something that I really must get off my chest... That pair of earrings I bought at Far East for $4 was actually available at that pushcart! 6 for $10! I can't believe it. Even without the offer, one pair at $2.50 was already much cheaper than $4! Argh! I told Kim about it, and I got so disturbed for quite a while. Can't stand it... I've almost gotten over it, but I bet everytime I see that pair of earrings, I'll be reminded of that incident. Irritating!!!

Anyway, I bought another 2 pairs of earrings while Kim bought 1 pair. We wanted to buy identical earrings, but our tastes didn't quite match so we got somewhat similar ones instead. We're going to wear them next thursday! :)

So after walking around for some more, we had to go cos Kim was going to her Grandma's house.

Today's shopping wasn't as "intensive" as the previous days' but I guess I need to rest too.

We've got to go back to school tomorrow, and receive our prelim results. I'm excited about the results, but at the same time, a little anxious.

I'm so thankful for these marking days that I got to shop around so much.

So far, I went to Plaza Singapura, Marina Square, Far East Plaza, Bugis and Heeren the past few days. And bought 4 pairs of nice earrings for myself, plus a shirt. And spent so much time with good friends too. Haha... I'm so happy. But now, time to hit the books again!

I can't wait till A levels are over.
