The terrible-est paper

Seriously, I've already gotten into the playing mode. I started studying for today's Maths S paper only on Sunday and progess has been terribly slow. I take super long to think through questions (which is kinda expected for Maths S), but the real problem is that I can't sit down for 3 hours straight to do the paper.

I only did 3 practice papers in 2 days.

The paper was terrible! It was so difficult, more difficult than the past year papers. There was very little need to use calculator because somehow, so many of the questions gave constants like a, b, c, etc, instead of real numbers. I could have gone in there without a calculator and it wouldn't have affected my marks! Come to think of it, there was really no question that required calculator! We didn't even have to use the normal table! Argh!

I like calculating stuff. Handling so many unknown constants only makes the working tedious and I give up real soon. I think I left almost half of the questions undone. I could only do the first part of each question.

I felt angry after the paper. Kinda of weird. I don't know what I'm angry about. I bet that even if I did more past year papers it wouldn't help much either, since the paper was so difficult. Anyway, if I found it difficult, hopefully other people will find it tough too. I reallly hope I can get at least a merit. I was aiming for distinction, but I've got to be realistic. I haven't been doing tutorials for the whole year! I'll be really sad if I get ungraded cos it'll be like I took the paper for nothing!

Whatever it is, it's one down, only 1 more to go! I've got a whole week to study for Econs S and I wanna do well for it! :)

Ps: I'm very happy about 2 things. One is that I'm meeting Shuwen tomorrow! YAY! And the other is that I messaged Chef Steven to say I won't be working at pastry kitchen this holiday cos I want to try a different job (since he was so nice to offer me a place there when I went back the other time). And he replied "no problem charlynn... wish u all the best and visit us whenever u can. We will miss u this christmas.." It feels nice to be missed. Haha... :)
